Origin — PNG (Papua New Guinea) occupies the eastern half of New Guinea plus 600 offshore islands, home to 800+ native languages — the most linguistically diverse nation on earth. 400,000 rural households across 16 provinces depend on coffee for income, with 90% of production concentrated in the Eastern and Western Highlands, Jiwaka, Morobe, and Chimbu. Our lot comes specifically from smallholder communities in Belombibi, Wawet, Hongo, and Neng in the Morobe and Madang provinces.
Character — Balanced, bright, and layered. Medium-high acidity that's clean and citrus-forward rather than sharp. Jasmine through the aromatics and mid-palate, with caramel rounding out the finish. Typica and Mundo Novo in a washed process deliver tropical fruit clarity with creamy balance — works beautifully as a pour-over or French press.
Why PNG — For drinkers who value balance, brightness, and genuine origin character. Neither aggressively fruity nor flat — grown by smallholder families in remote highland communities, graded to A/X specialty standard, a coffee of real substance and quiet distinction.
